Our dear friend and board member, Jutta Vertegaal passed away late June 28th surrounded by family at Lion’s Gate Hospital. Jutta joined Deep Cove Stage Society many years ago with no theatre experience and came to love the many aspects of putting productions together. She developed a great talent for gathering props, helping with set and costume changes and organizing our auditions.

Jutta kept us organized as board secretary taking minutes and never missing a meeting. Most of all she loved the special people brought together through theatre; the directors, actors, artists and technical crew … Jutta was the producer behind ‘The Roommate’ , our recently closed June production; and we were so pleased that she joined us for the wrap party among the cast and crew on our ‘kitchen’ set; a fitting celebration! Take a bow dear lady.
